Deferrization filters have the task of removing iron and manganese from the water. As a rule, deferrization filters are filled with catalytic filter material and quartz gravel. Dissolved iron and manganese are oxidized so that they can then be filtered off. For water with coarse dirt particles, an appropriate filter must be installed upstream.
