Between the various processing stages, components along the production chain have to be cleaned again and again. In an aqueous cleaning process, water of different qualities is required at various stations. The care of the cleaning baths is particularly important, because the cleaning success is only as good as the bath quality.

Interfering substances such as oils, greases and particles must be continuously removed from the process baths. EnviroFALK develops water treatment systems that are precisely tailored to the applications of industrial production processes.

The experts rely on various process technologies such as ultrafiltration, microfiltration, reverse osmosis and ion exchange to treat the baths and extend the service life of the process and cleaning baths. Cleaning is followed by rinsing. With open systems, the rinsing water is discarded after use. The amount of water is often reduced to keep the costs for fresh and waste water and possible temperature control low. Circulating the rinse water, on the other hand, allows the user to use large quantities of water at a higher temperature and thus optimize the rinsing result while reducing costs at the same time. The final rinse with demineralized water ensures a consistently high level of quality assurance for the products to be cleaned.

Whether work is carried out in open or closed circuits depends in particular on the washing process (multi-chamber or single-chamber systems) and the items to be cleaned. Open systems are suitable if the effort required for recycling is too high and indirect discharge is possible. The advantage of recirculation systems is that there is no need to pay attention to water quantities and temperatures and therefore very good rinsing results are achieved due to the high dilution and increased dissolving speed.
