Bag filter

For the separation of coarse particles or for final filtration

Bag filters are used in water treatment to separate coarse particles or for final filtration (safety filtration) with very low concentrations of solids.

The water to be treated usually enters at the top on the side of the bag filter housing and then passes through the filter bag. This retains any solids in the filter bag. When the bag filters are exhausted, they are simply emptied and can be reinserted after cleaning. Bag filters are made of stainless steel or plastic (e.g. polypropylene, PVC, PVDF) and are usually constructed as follows: Filter housing, support basket, hold-down device, lid and the actual filter bag.

Bag filters are characterized in particular by the wide selection and easy handling when changing the filter bags.
