For the internal reforming of hydrogen from methane (natural gas), high-purity water must be added to the process in the fuel cell stack.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Solution&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;tab-2d090-4ac4&#8243;][vc_column_text]The water is treated using permeate-stage reverse osmosis as the main desalination process with upstream anti-scaling conditioning. The water is also subjected to fine desalination using membrane degassing to remove CO2 and continuous electrodeionization (CEDI). All process-relevant parameters of the system, such as flow rates, pressures and water qualities, are continuously measured online and transferred from the EnviroFALK automation system to the customer&#8217;s process control system.
