Pure and ultrapure water treatment plantsA high silica content leads to deposits on instruments and equipment.
One of the most renowned eye surgery centers offers the entire spectrum of general ophthalmology. State-of-the-art equipment makes it possible to detect eye diseases in time and to perform operations precisely and individually.
The delicate designs of ophthalmic instruments require particularly careful cleaning and disinfection. Special washer-disinfectors (WD's) ensure that instruments are cleaned and disinfected safely and traceably.
Cleaning and disinfection devices require pure water
Salts are often still present in drinking water, causing streaks and streaking on instruments. In addition, silicic acid and silicon oxide are often found in drinking water. A high content of silicic acid, for example, leads to deposits on the instruments and devices. For the operation of washer-disinfectors, treated water of a consistently high water quality is of crucial importance. Strict limits for pure and ultrapure water treatment ensure that the cleaned instruments do not transmit infections and cross-contamination. The eye surgery center was also able to convince itself of this: the pure and ultrapure water treatment systems from EnviroFALK not only comply with the limit values of the European standard DIN EN 15883 and DIN EN 285:2016-05, but even exceed them.
Astrid Schoppe, Product Manager Laboratory and Medical Technology at EnviroFALK: "Different needs, objectives and space conditions require customized solutions. Our customers expect the highest reliability from their pure and ultrapure water supply and the certainty that they have chosen the best water treatment concept. It doesn't matter here whether the supply is centralized or decentralized."
For many years, EnviroFALK has been supporting laboratory and medical technology, CSSD service providers as well as specialist planners and architects in pure and ultrapure water supply. From treated water for washer-disinfectors (WDs) to general and specific laboratory applications, central sterile supply departments (CSSDs) or clinical analysis equipment. In addition, EnviroFALK offers a nationwide regeneration service for the treatment of ion exchange cartridges for water desalination.
