For stable production processes
Between the various processing stages the components need to be cleaned repeatedly along the entire production chain. In water-based cleaning processes, water of different qualities is needed at different stations. The upkeep of the cleaning baths is particularly important, because the cleaning outcome can only be as good as the quality of the bath.
Contaminants such as oils, fats and particles need to be removed from the process baths on an ongoing basis. EnviroFALK produces water treatment units that are precisely tailored to meet the requirements of applications in the industrial manufacturing.
The experts rely on various process technologies such as ultrafiltration, microfiltration, reverse osmosis and ion exchange for bath preparation and to extend the service life of process and cleaning baths. The cleaning process is followed by rinsing. In open systems, rinsing water is rejected after use. One way of keeping the cost of fresh water, wastewater as well as any heating energy down, is to reduce the volume of water used. Recirculation of the rinsing water allows users to use large amounts of water at high temperatures and thus optimise the washing results, while at the same time cutting costs. Final rinsing with DI water results in a consistently high quality of the products being cleaned.
Whether an open or a closed circuit is used depends primarily on the washing process (multi chambered or single-chamber systems) as well as on the components to be cleaned. Open systems are the perfect solution if recycling is technically unfeasible and indirect discharge is possible. Recirculation systems have the advantage that there is no need to worry about saving water or heating energy, meaning that excellent washing results can be achieved due to the high dilution and the increased rate of dissolution.
