The EnviroChemie Group, a leader in industrial water technology solutions, acquires Letzner Pharmawasseraufbereitung

The EnviroChemie Group is expanding its market presence and its expertise in process water treatment for the pharmaceutical industry with the acquisition of Letzner Pharmawasseraufbereitung GmbH, a leading specialist in the field of pharmaceutical water treatment. The EnviroChemie Group, which is part of SKion Water, has been pursuing the strategic goal of expanding its market presence in the growing segment of water and wastewater technology for the pharmaceutical industry for many years. Many well-known pharmaceutical companies around the world trust the solutions and experience of the EnviroChemie Group. With the current acquisition, the Group is further strengthening its position as a provider of complete solutions in the field of ultrapure water and wastewater technology for the pharmaceutical industry. For this industry, the EnviroChemie Group supplies solutions for wastewater treatment, including the removal of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and infectious substances, as well as process water treatments such as ultrapure water treatment or the production of water for injection (WFI).

Letzner Pharmawasseraufbereitung GmbH, based in Hückeswagen, specializes in consulting, planning and project planning as well as the manufacture and maintenance of water treatment systems for the pharmaceutical industry. The company supplies customized, modular solutions for various quality requirements, components and technologies in accordance with legal specifications and customer requirements. Pure water, ultrapure water and pure steam are produced in Letzner systems in compliance with all relevant international standards and regulations.

Letzner Pharmawasseraufbereitung GmbH achieved a turnover of almost 10 million euros in 2019 and currently employs 70 people. Letzner primarily serves customers from the pharmaceutical industry and supplies pre-treatment systems, reverse osmosis systems with electrodeionization and multi-stage distillation systems, which are tailored to the customer’s requirements and the spatial conditions on site. Letzner also supplies CIP/SIP systems as well as storage and distribution systems.
